You will find the Belfast publication the Northern Star remained fully informed of all the tumultuous events in France and supported the revolution.

Absolutely! But from 1793 onwards their ability to remain up and running in the face of government pressure and persecution made it difficult to maintain a functioning press.

True but it doesn’t answer why these radical rebels docilely accepted the Act of Union and thereafter remained faithful prods with no interest in rebellion.
