She crops up in the Duc de Croÿ's journal in the spring of 1778 as 'la duchesse de Kingston,' residing in Paris and, in spite of the impending war, not leaving like all the other British subjects. Now I understand why!
She’s an interesting character for sure! I’ll be doing more about her in the future - Catherine Ostlers book Countess Duchess is a really good biography of Chudleigh if you ever wanted to go further!
